Announcements - REQUIRED NAR Code of Ethics Training for the Current Cycle

Posted on:

As you know ... the National Association of REALTORS® (NAR) requires all REALTORS® to complete Code of Ethics training within a specific time frame. The training must meet specific learning objectives and criteria established by NAR.

The current ends December 31, 2024.

Below are the cycle dates for the Code of Ethics Training Requirement. Training must be completed at anytime during these established cycles.

CURRENT CYCLE:  January 1, 2022 to December 31, 2024

Failure to complete training during any cycle will lead to suspension of membership for the January and February immediately following the cycle deadline, with termination of membership starting March 1 after the cycle deadline.

PLEASE NOTE:

  • To take the class online through NAR, CLICK HERE.
  • Please note, for Ohio (ODRE) continuing education credit additional fees apply (otherwise course is free, but no CE credit). Please read information thoroughly.
  • If you'd like to take an online class that meets both ODRE and NAR, LoCAR offers an online alternative: CLICK HERE. This online class meets both ODRE and NAR's ethics requirements.
  • If you've taken an ethics course through a REALTOR® association, that association would have updated your education record in NAR's REALTOR® Database (NRDS).
  • If you took the course from another source, you need to email or fax your certificate to your local board for verification (course may not meet NAR's requirements) and NRD record to be updated.
  • EMAIL your certificate to LoCAR / or FAX your certificate to LoCAR: 866-371-7492

Not sure whether or not you still need to take this class? Look up your completed education info in ODRE. All Ethics courses have the letter "C" within the course number.
